Are You Looking For A Career Expert?

Introducing another new feature on Tim’s Strategy . . .

While there’s a lot of great free advice out there on the web, sometimes it’s not enough. Sometimes you need an expert. Someone with a little career mojo. Enough to lift you up and carry you down a new path.

Introducing a new directory that includes a growing list of the best career experts in the world. The advice is no longer 100% free, but it is more personal and dedicated.  To helping you find your next great role or to help transition you to a new industry or function.

A sampling of the expert areas we are looking to fill out:

Career Author – Includes anyone who has written and published a book (ebook or traditional) designed to help job seekers or anyone looking for career advice.

Career Blogger – Includes anyone who actively blogs in the career space.

Career Coach – Includes coaches who counsels job seekers on career management, interview strategy or job search techniques.

Career Radio Host – Includes anyone hosting or producing a career focused radio show or podcast

Executive Recruiter – Includes contingent and retained recruiters who help companies identify and hire new talent.

Personal Branding Expert – Includes experts who help anyone build an online presence for job search, career management, personal branding or business development.

Resume Writer – Includes experts who help job seekers build a great traditional resume as well online versions.

When you get to the Career Experts page, here’s what you’ll find.  An easy to use directory . . .

Career Experts

To find an expert in your area, simply add your zip code, city, state/province or country to the search box and choose an expert category.  Then click “submit”.  Also remember that many of these experts work virtually and do not need to be in your city to allow for a great relationship!  So if you don’t find someone local, try a search just by expert area with nothing in the search box.

And just so you know, I’ll be reviewing each and every submission to make sure they are someone you’d want to contact.  Someone you can trust.

If you are an expert and would like to be considered for the directory, click here.

Job seekers: looking for a place to mingle with these experts?  Join the Tim’s Strategy group on LinkedIn.

Please be patient while the list grows, won’t you?  And when you contact one of these fine experts, tell them Tim sent you.

Great of you to assemble these resources Tim! I am curious about how relevant geo location is today owing to the low cost of telecommunications and emphasis on emails, IM’s, and other virtual connections. I’ve had a telephone and email based practice for ten years. I think meeting with clients in person is getting to be rare. With so many initial interviews being conducted over the phone, potential candidates must be comfortable and skilled at demonstrating their strengths and interest without the benefit of a face to face meeting. Perhaps one of the coaching or career professional associations has some stats on the trends of inperson vs virtual coaching.

Would you please add me to your group of coaches? I am an executive talent agent, a matchmaker ( part sleuth, part networker according to Forbes magazine a few years ago!) who connects senior level execs with hiring decision makers to position them in new business relationships which get them on the inside track to unadvertised career opportunities. JobWhiz is a one-of-a-kind consultancy making live and personal contacts on behalf of clients which preserves thir privacy and leverages their limited time for networking initiatives. It would be great to tell you more about JobWhiz services and explain the process of networking purposefully to you on the phone.

Hey Debra – Yes, as I mentioned in the post job seekers should not just search locally. There are a lot of great phone conversations to be had! But, I will always suggest a local meeting if all other things are equal. Brings a stronger value statement for the client I think! Good thought about reviewing the stats. I’ll look into that!

If you’d like to be considered, go to: http://timsstrategy.com/add-listing/ and fill in your details!
