Best Of The Blog – The Psychology Of Successful Job Search

Hey everyone.  It’s Tuesday and that means it is time to talk psychology.  It is one of my favorite topics because your psychology (mind and behavior) affects everything you do in job search and in your career.  As you look to succeed at the office.

So the first one is about confidence during a job search.  I created a term called confidence marketing that talks about building strength around your self that can be used to influence your materials, relationships and interactions with everyone.

The next is a question that I asked on the Tim’s Strategy LinkedIn Group and it has become the #1 conversation there.  I’d love to get your reaction here or on this post below.  Because critical to building confidence and positive momentum in a job search is to have a few wins along the way.  String a few together and have a big victory on your hands!

And finally, we all have afflictions to some extent.  But I think there are two that can really trip you up.  They are “indecision” and “crisis”.  In this case, a career identity crisis.  People ask what you want to do.  And you flat-out don’t know.

How To Avoid Two Bad Afflictions In Job Search

I hope that these articles help you get up, get positive and get moving.  Make it a great week!

    Tim,
Confidence is so important in a job search, and it’s in short supply for many job seekers in this market. As a career coach, I have helped so many candidates who were discouraged by an unsuccessful job search retool their strategies and get hired faster then they ever expected.
