INTERVIEW WEEK: Final Summary Post
Well, you made it through interview week. Congratulations. I hope it was a helpful series and provided a few new ideas. But honestly, I won’t know unless you tell me. So. Tell me.
If you missed any of the posts, here they are:
Welcome To INTERVIEW WEEK: Are You Ready?
INTERVIEW WEEK: What To Look And Listen For On Interview Day
INTERVIEW WEEK: How To Stay “Up” During A Long Interview Day
INTERVIEW WEEK: How To Nail The HR Interview
INTERVIEW WEEK: Talking To The Social And The Serious
Thanks for your comments and feedback on this series. And if you haven’t yet done so, let me know if this worked for you.
Does it help to have a theme for the week or would you rather see the posts come as they hit the noggin?
Now, before I let you go, here are some additional resources that can help you succeed in interview prep as well as in interview strategy. These are written or were created by some of my favorite resources out there!
Brent Peterson, owner of Interview Angel, has a great tool to support your successful interviewing. While not free, this tool is substantial and I believe will really add value to your process. Take a look by clicking here.
Jacob Share over at JobMob is one of the best in job search strategy. Jacob recently shared a guest blog from Peggy McKee called “Job Interviews: How You Can Benefit By Asking Questions“. Check out the rest of Jacob’s blog for a great variety of very smart advice.
Check out Alison Doyle over at About.com. Her article “Acing The Interview” is excellent!
Over at Quint Careers you can get at their Job Interview Questions Database. Here you can find 150 traditional and behavioral interview questions. If nothing else, it will expose you to variety of angles that an interviewer may take to get to know you and prove out your experience.
Susan Joyce runs an amazing website called Job-Hunt.org. Among the many great articles and tools there, I found a nice article written by Laura DeCarlo called 9 Tips For Putting Your Best Voice Forward in phone interviews.
So, again, thanks for your feedback and please keep it coming!!

Hi Tim,
Great week of posts (you’ve seen my follow up on FB this week). As for your question, this week’s posts makes it hard to decide whether I would vote for a theme for the week or posts from the noggin. (Hee, hee … that one made me chuckle).
You do make it very easy to find past individual posts … can I vote for both?
Finally, I agree with your additional resources as great suggestions in ALL areas for job seekers. I follow many of the ones listed and highly recommend them.
Again, thanks for a great week. Definitely a keeper … to be shared … along with a recommendation to follow Spin Strategy!

I really liked this series as it was timely and gave some great ideas. My favorite was the offer discussion over lunch with a prospective boss who may have been very serious in the interview – it seems like a great technique. Keep the good ideas coming – they are very valuable!
