New E-Book Now Available! “30 Ideas. The Ideas of Successful Job Search.”

illust_30ideas_trans_500px

Well, after many months of hard work and a few pennies from my daughter’s piggy bank (not really), I am excited to announce the launch of the new e-book.  As I’ve always said, this blog is about ideas.  Lots of ideas.

And I wanted to share a significant volume of ideas with you at one time.  Written in thirty easy to read chapters, the new e-book highlights the best of the blog since inception and is broken out into three sections.  All based on what I see as the three most important keys to successful job search: strategy, psychology and networking.

The e-book is in PDF form and should be easy to download and read on any computer.  Oh, and it’s free.

I’m also looking to make it Kindle friendly.  Any Kindle owners out there?

Once in the PDF, you can also click on each chapter in the table of contents to jump there directly.

Of course, I would love it if you would share the link to this post with friends who may be looking for new ideas in job search.  You can also forward the PDF to others directly.  You have my permission!

So, now that the e-book is done, what’s next?

Get ready for a significant upgrade to the Tim’s Strategy website.  Everything you get today PLUS a whole lot more!

So, while I am working on the website, stick your nose into the book.  Share it with others.

And send me your comments.  Lots of them, please!

Are you ready? Go!

Thank you for not making us sign up for anything and stuff. I appreciate it when people make things easy to share especially this type of material when everyone seems to be looking for a job.

Hi Jamie – Thanks for your comment and I appreciate your thought. Yes, it feels good to just “give” and I hope you get value from reading it.

so I was going to make this a quick 30 paragraphs read and then saw it was 114 pages! Think I will download and read it later today LOL. Didn’t think that the subject had that much info so I can’t wait to dive in, thanks.

Thank you for this amazing book. I have been spinning it all the way. Realization, action and a lot of help, all built with simple words into one book! And, a special thanks for the easy access to the book.

    Appreciate the feedback! Thanks!

  8. Bill Burton August 19, 2009 @ 9:01 pm

    Hi Bill here.
I surfed to your nice site from a Salon article. They say your book is Good Stuff(tm). I have kindle and I should be able to get it into kindle format easily. The kindle can read PDFs obviously, but the native format is better in a number of ways.
Is this the sort of thing you were looking for? If yes, please email me at bill AT bamph DOT COM.
If I can’t help you in return I will just thank you for the great read!
    Regards,
    Bill
PS If you are in this for free than so am I.

Hey Bill – Thanks for your note. Look forward to your Kindle and e-book feedback. I have one thumbs up re: Kindle so far, but would love to hear about your experiences!
    Thanks!

Loved the book. Great site. When can we get you as a speaker at our Career ReBoot Camp?

Carol Ann – Look forward to talking with you – sounds like fun . . .

  12. Karla Porter August 31, 2009 @ 3:07 pm

    Tim,
I too was surprised that you are not requiring registration to download the goods. That’s an excellent strategy to give, gain loyalty, grow readership and gauge acceptance, feedback and popularity to move on to the next step – a book. Good job and good luck!

Hi Karla – I had a lot of advice to “get something” for the e-book. And I’ll have to admit I thought about it. But, in the end, it felt right to make it easy for people to get the content. Thanks for the positive feedback!

  14. Ann Ortega September 4, 2009 @ 12:39 pm

Thanks for the e-book – I plan on reading it carefully since I need to fuel my search.
I also read the article about procrastenating and I totally agree with spending hours and hours looking at job boards – I feel like I’m spinning my wheels. I’m determined to take a better route and seek out the “hidden job market” thru networking and anything else you suggest.

You are welcome, Ann. Absolutely be a great networker and give yourself small, attainable goals each day and week!

Tremendous E-book for all job seekers and those in career transition. A lot of thought went into this – great job. Glad to see you joined Keith Keller and Annemarie Cross on the Career Success Radio website. I’m sure you will be an asset for them.
    All the best,
    - Daulton

As I get up in age (50) and I know that at one time or another – I’ll come face-to-face with younger (less experienced) job seekers looking at the same job(s) I like. I’d like to thank you for this wonderful “30 Ideas” – I began reading it on my lunch break and haven’t stopped reading… A great tool for us older generation job seekers. Presently – I have a great job but was looking for something closer to the WDC area. More money for more experience (government jobs) or so I’ve been told. After working for the USG (24 yrs) and then going contractor – I’ve always felt better job security with the USG. So we shall see what happens in 2010 – thats when I’d like to come back to the States and work – presently in Iraq.

  22. Tim Tyrell-Smith November 30, 2009 @ 6:02 am

@Mudit – Look forward to your return!
@Gary – Thanks for that feedback on the book. I’m glad to hear that it found you at the right point in life! Be safe over there and hope to hear that you arrive safely at a new job back home . . .
