Hi Tim! This is a general comment for the whole blog. I'm devouring your blog posts and really appreciate your ideas, recommendations, and tools. I can feel my approach to the job hunt shifting. Pretty exciting!
Your preference for periods over commas is slowing my devour rate (possibly a good thing). I'd like to suggest you look up "sentence fragment".

Gratefully,Suzanne

I found this interesting reading. I was just blogging about some of the same things you are discussing. I create resumes and one of the things I do let my clients know is that having a resume is half the process of becoming employed. Although I will never know what employers will ask on the interview, I do give helpful tips to make clients feel more comfortable when they go on interviews.

I've helped a lot of clients get to the initial interview (with a well-written resume and cover letter), but a lot of them have admitted to freezing up on occasion (which is normal, I'd think). Some people are just terrible at interviews and don't exude the confidence we provide them on paper. I always tell them to do their homework especially if they are trying to snag their dream job. Surely a little effort will go a long way in their case. What it comes down to is, if you believe it, you can sell it...and if you really want it, then do what it takes to get it.

You've made some excellent points here that I think my clients will find very helpful in their job search and interview preparation.
