The Origin And Evolution Of Tim’s Strategy™
Tim’s Strategy (the blog) has evolved a bit differently than I intended. And that’s OK.
My original concept was the first I decided to share from my idea book. This idea book is highlighted and often shared page by page on my other blog called Quixoting™ – A Quest for New Ideas. For those of you who have been reading Tim’s Strategy since September 1 or if you’ve read my introductory post, you are probably familiar with the plate spinning analogy. You can see the original idea below.
While I still like the analogy and hope to share a digital version of the tools someday, I am open to the possibility that the tools themselves are less interesting than the blog posts themselves. Or at least that’s what your comments and e-mails are telling me so far. That’s also OK.
The cool thing about sharing ideas is the natural internal process that occurs as concept meets reality and as reality shapes one idea into another. The hard part is the realization that
uniqueness is often in the eye of the inventor
In other words, you do not often see (or want to see) similar or dare say better versions of your idea in advance of your introduction. In fact, it wasn’t until I started writing this blog that I really opened my eyes to just how many blogs and websites there are out there wanting to share their tips, ideas, secrets and tools for job search.
As anyone who is writing or in the process of learning to write will tell you, it takes time to find your voice and style of writing. I appreciate your being a part of my beginnings and I hope to reward you with increasingly helpful and compelling content to support your job search and ongoing networking effort.
As always, please continue to open up and let me hear you. Comments are always appreciated and read.
