Your First Career Choice. A Good One?
One point, years ago, when you were driving down the road. Getting ready to begin your career. It was raining. Muddy puddles of water soaking the pavement.
A truck passed you by going the other way. Spraying mud and debris all over your windshield. Obscuring your view of things ahead.
But you were looking away at the time. Reaching down below the seat to find something unimportant.
You looked up to see all the mud and veered to the right. Onto another road.
As the mud cleared away, you found yourself on a new road that looked different but was appealing for different reasons. Nice trees and a smoother surface on which to drive. Less traffic.
Before you knew it, you’d been driving this new road successfully for many years. Passing milestone after milestone. Never running out of gas.
And then as the years passed, you started needing to fill up more often. And memories of that early road started coming back. Or you saw someone driving that road. Off in the distance.
Not as easy to drive, you remember. But a road that, one time, had your character paved into it. A bit bumpy and not as easy to predict. But more rewarding.
Did this happen to you?
Do you ever wonder what career you’d be pursuing today? Had that truck not happened by?
I think about this all the time.
Whether you are in Singapore, London, New York City, Toronto, Mexico City, Nigeria or Poland. This could describe any of us.
And if you are looking to find that old road once again, I can help you find it.
Because I’m on it.
