Cover Letter For A Resume And Resume Sample

Q:  Do you know of a good resume sample or template?  How do I write a cover letter for my resume that will get me noticed?

While there are many new, more modern ways to get noticed (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, VisualCV), a resume is still a required document that every hiring team expects to review.

So it has to quickly and concisely communicate your unique talents.  And the impact that you will likely have at their company should they hire you.

Concerning cover letters, they are not my favorite tool.  Because I think so many people try to do too much with them.  Or they try to get too cute.  When you screw up a cover letter, you give the HR team a chance to screen you out.  Not good.
